Bienvenue à La Maison Forte!
Je m'appelle Chiara et avec mes deux chiens Oscar et Joy , je vous accueille dans LA MAISON FORTE, un vieux fortin médiéval du XIII siècle complètement restauré, entourée par des champs et avec une vue inoubliable: en effet La Maison Forte se trouve en Nouvelle Aquitaine et plus précisément dans le département de la Dordogne, en Périgord Pourpre, sur une colline dans un petit village champêtre avec vue sur les champs et immergée dans le silence de la campagne, pas loin du village médiéval (bastide) d'Issigeac (environ 3,8 Km), connu pour son riche marché, à 20Km environ au sud de Bergerac et à 15 km environ de son aéroport, et pas loin des vignobles de Monbazillac (16 Km), Bergerac et Pécharmant.
Je suis médecin, j'ai changé de vie et avec mes chambres d'hôtes je suis toujours en contact avec des gens de nationalité différentes, cela me permets de rentrer en contact avec de nouvelles cultures et de maintenir un esprit ouvert: j'ai découvert que soigner n'est pas seulement par la médecine.
My name is Chiara and with my two dogs, Oscar & Joy, we welcome you at LA MAISON FORTE, an ancient fortified manor of the medieval period (XIII century), completely restored in a modern and comfort way. It is located in a very tiny village, in Dordogne, Perigord Pourpre, on a small hill, with a breathtaking view on the fields and not far from the famous village of Issigeac (about 3,8 Km far), old medieval town (Bastide), known for its colorful and rich of local products Sunday market, and at about 20 KM south far from Bergerac and 15 KM far from Bergerac Airport. And moreover, not far from the Monbazillac vineyards ( about 16 Km far) as well as from Bergerac and Pecharmant vineyards.
I´m a doctor and, after I quit medicine, I started my B&B and now with my new property, it's time to carry on and to make new acquaintances and to meet new people and new cultures in this beautiful area of France, rich of history. And meeting new cultures is always very interesting to me, and keeps me open-minded.
My B&B allows me to discover that taking care of people it's not only from a medical point of view.
